About Child Nutrition Program, Inc. Child Nutrition Program, Inc. is a private non-profit organization dedicated to helping child care providers make the most out of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The food program is our only business. We have both nutritionists and child development specialists on our staff, making us well-qualified to serve the providers who serve the children in their care. As a CACFP sponsor, we:
We serve child care providers in 24 North Carolina counties from our two offices in Charlotte and Fayetteville. Executive Director Vicki Lipscomb co-founded Child Nutrition Program, Inc. with her mother, Doris Cromartie, in 1982 to meet the community's need for a CACFP sponsor for area family child care homes. Vicki continues to make serving the people who serve the children the guiding principle in the way she runs Child Nutrition Program today.
